If you missed this year’s Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest in Washington, DC, you missed a lot! The biggest and brightest of the DMV’s emerging Hip Hop and R&B scene all convened at Marvin Gaye Park for a family affair that was perfect for the summer weather. Hundreds of people came out and showed their support for the artists, Liberated Muse (the orgainzers), and their home sweet home.

I took a Greyhound bus down to perform with none other than my friend and big brother, Substantial…and, no question, we BODIED the crowd with our performance! The fest was amazing, and the energy was so positive. Thanks to everyone for making the 2009 Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest a great success!

For those that missed the performances…shaaaame! :( Still, I pitty you poor souls, and that’s why you’ll get to see some highlights from the  day’s event. Substantial and myself are in a couple clips (13:45 and 17:10), so click on the photo above to watch.

WE DID IT AGAIN, DMV (DC, Maryland, & Virginia)! MORE HISTORY IN THE MAKING!

So, for those that have been following, you know Substantial has already had a video premiere on MTV (i.e. “It’s You (I Think)” in 2008, and I made a cameo appearance in that video). Now, Substan The Man has unleashed yet another Hip Hop classic upon the world.
